Best Restaurants in The Woodlands: Tommy Bahama

Get Your Piece of Island Paradise at Tommy Bahama

Tommy Bahama is one of the most popular restaurants in The Woodlands. With delicious food and a laid back island ambience, guests can almost feel the sand of a pristine beach, the brilliance of a Hawaiin sunset, and the sway of palm trees bending in the breeze.

Located in upscale Market Street, Tommy Bahama is the ideal place for a casual lunch or an elegant dinner with that someone special. Start with one of their  creative cocktails and their flavorful appetizers, like the world famous Coconut Shrimp. Follow up with delicious entrees like the Macadamia Nut Encrusted Snapper, served with asparagus and almond rice. Or try their tender filet with cauliflower mashed potatoes and lemon arugula salad, or the exceptional Kona Crusted Ribeye.

The menu is full of other tasty dishes, like the Mahi Mahi Tacos, All-American Burger, and Cuban Sandwich. On the lighter side, Tommy’s offers delicious Chicken Tortilla Soup, the Lump Blue Crab and Avocado Salad, and the  Ahi Poke Bowl. For drinks and desserts, a wide variety of tasty options await you (see below).

Enjoy Indoors or Outdoors

In addition to the inviting indoor dining area, I love the outdoor eating areas of Tommy Bahama. Facing Central Park, with its greenery, colorful flowers, splash pool, and the cute donkey sculpture, patio seating offers a wonderful casual dining experience to take advantage of the good weather we enjoy year round.

Tommy Bahama also has a nice selection of international wines from  France, Italy, Spain, Germany, New Zealand, and other great wine making countries.

The United States is well-represented with wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma, Willamette Valley, Russian River, Paso Robles and other great wine regions. Whether its a Red, White, Sparkling, or Champagne, Tommy has you covered.

One of our favorites was the Paul Hobbs Crossbarn Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. It was the perfect choice with my excellent filet.

Dessert Heaven

The Tommy Bahama dessert selections are fantastic. Several feature the flavors of the islands, from pineapple to coconut to lime. And, of course, there are chocolate choices. We love the Key Lime Pie, with its flavorful tropical filling and a dollop of Swiss Chalet White Chocolate Mousse on top. It’s delicious.

Some of the tempting selections include:

  • Pineapple Creme Brulee
  • Triple Chocolate Cake
  • Malted Chocolate Pie
  • Key Lime Pie
  • Pina Colada Cake
