Spreading Aussie Cheer in Texas

Bluestone Lane opened in late July at their new location at  1900 Lake Woodlands Drive. This popular Aussie coffee and breakfast shop has been expanding on the east and west coast of the US, and is now arriving in the central states. Delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffees, smoothies, and snacks are offered from 7:30 am to 5 pm daily.

Brekkie All Day Long

The wide selection of menu items at Bluestone ensures there is something for everyone. Some of the breakfast and brunch items Bluestone is famous for include the Avocado Smash, their classic avocado smash with sheep’s milk feta, heirloom tomatoes & soft herbs on toasted multigrain. I started with a delicious Flat White coffee with a robust flavor and just the right taste of sweetness.

Members of our party tried the delicious BL Burrito and the B.L.A.T.E, consisting of crispy bacon, avocado, arugula, tomato, a fried egg, and garlic aioli on a brioche roll served with crispy potato wedges. I decided on the light but filling Soft Chili Scramble with Avocado, while my wife chose a Keen Greens Smoothie, a healthy drink packed full of bananas, spinach, almond butter, honey, and almond milk. Other smoothies that caught my eye on the menu were the Inbloom Protein Vanilla, the Berry Brekkie Smoothie, and the Inbloom Protein PB and Blueberry, all healthy and refreshing.

For just a little something sweet, we shared a plate of Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with whipped ricotta, fresh berries, citrus curd, edible petals, freeze dried raspberries, and maple syrup.

Yum!

Even though Bluestone Lane had been open for less than a week when we visited, they were already busy and buzzing. Satisfied diners surrounded us with their breakfast items, coffees, scones, banana breads, smoothies, and other delicious items. The friendly staff, including Morgan, our outstanding server, created a warm, inviting atmosphere to enjoy time with friends and family.

We were there around 11 am and were in the mood for breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, even though Bluestone is best known for breakfast, brunch, and coffee, they also have a nice selection for lunch type items.

Popular items include the Warm Chicken and Ancient Grains Bowl, a Spiced Chicken Wrap, several mouth watering burgers, and other delicious lunches. Next time we go around lunchtime, I may try the Bayside Beef Burger with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, fig jam, aioli, arugula and tomato on a brioche bun, served with crispy potato wedges.

Make Bluestone Lane Your Go To for Brekkie, Brunch, and Lunch

Ever since visiting the iconic Central Park Bluestone location in New York City, I have been hoping they would open a location nearby. During the last six months, my family and I have been eagerly anticipating this opening on Lake Woodlands. Now that it’s here, Bluestone Lane will be our go to for coffee, breakfast, brunch, lunch, and tantalizing snacks and smoothies.

Thanks to Bluestone Lane for hosting our visit. All opinions are my own.
