The Curtis Hotel is all these things and more. Located at 1405 Curtis Street, just 2 blocks from 16th Street and legendary Larimer Square, this lively boutique hotel was a delight. When my wife and I checked in, we were greeted by smiling faces and professional, friendly service at this Hilton Doubletree hotel.
Each floor of the hotel represents a particular theme. On the Superhero Floor (5thfloor) check out Spiderman, the Green Lantern, and Captain America. Don’t miss Batman defending Gotham. Are you a fan of Chick Flicks? Then head to the Chick Flick area on the 11thfloor, where you’ll see artwork from An Affair to Remember, Sleepless in Seattle, and Thelma & Louise. Or how about the Star Trek Room on the Sci-Fi 8thfloor, where an entire wall is plastered with characters from the popular series, including Spock and Captain Kirk.
Heroes and Villains
Like things on the scary side? Check out the Dun Dun Dunnnnn (13thfloor, of course) to find Jack Nicholson from The Shining, or a vacancy sign for the creepy Bates Motel. And if you are Mad About Music and Rock N Roll is more your style, you’ll have a rocking time in the Rolling Stones Suite or the Kiss Suite.
There is so much to choose from. Other popular features include “Slimer” green flooring in the Ghostbusters Suite and an actual “Donkey Kong” arcade machine in the Video Game Suite. You can even sleep under a swordfish in the beach inspired Jimmy Buffet Room. Whatever your taste, you’ll find something to please you here at The Curtis Hotel.
